8,500 New Jobs Created for Green Homeland

A plan to establish a new team of 8,500 people to protect the Green Homeland has been announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumaklı. Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı stated that efforts are ongoing to create a stronger defense line against forest fires. Attending the “Forests in the Process of Climate Change Workshop” organized within the scope of the Fourth Agriculture and Forestry Council, Yumaklı revealed that over 200 billion liras have been allocated for the Green Homeland. He mentioned that nearly 8 billion seeds and seedlings have been planted in the soil and emphasized, “As a country that owns a significant forest area of 24.3 million hectares today, we have been able to develop it further.” Yumaklı highlighted their aim to establish a stronger defense line to protect the Green Homeland and said, “I would like to share some good news. In the coming months, we will be adding 8,500 new team members, including 3,105 firefighting workers, 3,477 support staff, and 150 engineers, to our teams.”
