Here are the details about bonuses and promotions…Millions of retirees are eagerly awaiting news on bank promotions and holiday bonuses. The holiday bonuses will be discussed at the Economy Coordination Committee (EKK) meeting on February 21st. The details of the bank promotions will be finalized with the protocol between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and banks. It is expected that SGK will renew its agreement with 19 public and private banks regarding retirement bonuses in March. While public bank bonuses ranged from 8,000 to 12,000 liras last year, private banks had amounts reaching up to 21,000 liras. It is anticipated that by 2025, the bonus amounts in public banks may go up to 18,000 liras. Private banks, on the other hand, could potentially reach 40,000 liras. In addition to cash payments, banks also offer other options such as interest-free loans, credit cards, and credit deposit accounts as part of the promotion. Retirees who commit to receiving their retirement salaries from the same bank for three years are eligible for bonus payments. Furthermore, banks provide different options such as interest-free loans and additional accounts along with the bonus. Retirees will receive holiday bonuses in March and June this year. Last year, holiday bonuses were increased to 3,000 liras, resulting in a total payment of 6,000 liras for retirees. Public discussions have been ongoing about holiday bonuses ranging from 3,500 to 4,000 liras. If a 30% increase is applied to bonuses, it will go up to 3,900 liras. At a 35% increase, it will be 4,050 liras. A 40% increase will raise it to 4,200 liras, and at a 50% rate, it will reach 4,500 liras. Moreover, retirees received a 15.75% increase in June. If the bonuses are also increased by this rate, they will amount to 3,472 liras. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, as well as those receiving death, old age, and disability pensions, will benefit from these measures. Additionally, those who become eligible for retirement benefits on March 1st will also be able to receive bonuses.
